Chelsea will blow Arsenal out of the water - Craig Bellamy

Former Premier League star Craig Bellamy believes Chelsea will put in a dominant performance against Arsenal in the London derby this weekend.

The Blues have won their last three league games, and this has seen them jump to third place with nine points. On the other hand, Arsenal have been slow movers in the Premier League as always, and they are currently 11th in the standings with just six points.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Bellamy, who has previously featured for the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool, feels that the Blues will blow the Gunners out of the water on Sunday. Antonio Conte's side completed a 6-0 rout of Azerbaijani champions Qarabag in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and Bellamy expects the Gunners to have a tough trip to west London.

He said: "If Chelsea go about it with any intensity, they’ll blow Arsenal out of the water, this game could be over in the first half hour. Of course, they can [cause a surprise] but I just can’t see it."

Meanwhile, former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy also feels the same way as the Gunners have a torrid away record against the big teams, he said: "They will be a bit wary going away again thinking ‘do we protect for a while?’ which I’ve never seen them do, or do they play their normal way and just try to outplay the opposition?"

Eden Hazard could make his first start of the campaign against the Gunners, and this could spell further trouble for the north London outfit, who have lost their last five outings at the home of the Premier League champions. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already had a go at his backroom staff in the aftermath of the 4-0 mauling at the hands of Liverpool, and the Chelsea game could determine how the club's season will pave way this season.
