BELLAMY IS BACK

The manager of Cardiff City, Malky Mackay, has made it clear that Craig Bellamy will return for the match against Blackburn Rovers which is going to be played at Cardiff City Stadium on Monday.

Bellamy was not included in the Cardiff City squad for the previous match against Peterborough United. He was just back from the national duty and after playing for Wales for full 90 minutes in the World Cup qualifying matches against Croatia and Scotland, he was completely exhausted. So, Mackay decided to rest him.

Talking to the reporters ahead of the match against Blackburn Rovers, Mackay said, “Craig was tired after playing two high intensity games for his national side and he needed some time off. He is our vital player and we didn’t want him to damage his hamstring. So, we decided to keep him out of the last match.”

Cardiff City has performed sensationally in the Championship this year and is set for a promotion.

On the other hand, the season hasn’t gone that well for Blackburn Rovers. They are at the 18th position with 47 points in 38 matches. They have just secured 8 victories in the ongoing Championship so far.

However, Mackay doesn’t think that the match against Blackburn Rovers is going to be an easy one. When asked about Blackburn Rovers side, Mackay said, “Things haven’t gone in their favour in this season. They are desperate for victories and they are going to play aggressively. It will not be an easy match for us.”

Cardiff City is currently at the top of the Championship points table with 75 points in 38 matches. Hull City is at no. 2 and they have only 4 points less than Cardiff City. However, they have played one match more than the table toppers.
