Redknapp wants to sign Craig Bellamy after failing to secure Joe Cole. Redknapp has been after Bellamy for some time, and with City signing Spain star David Silva from Valencia this summer Tottenham are looking to get the Welshman for as little as £3 million, according to The Mirror. Spurs watched Bellamy from the Manchester City Hospitality Tickets last season.

With Spurs participating in the Champions League this season Redknapp believes that Bellamy would be an ideal addition to his squad.

City boss Roberto Mancini is set to start Silva in place of Craig Bellamy, and the Wales international would get both regular playing time and a chance to compete in the Champions League if he moves to Spurs this summer.

Cole has opened up talks with Liverpool and is attempting to get a £90,000-a-week deal worked out.
