CRAIG BELLAMY TO TRY TEAM MANAGEMENT

Vincent Tan, the Malaysian businessman and investor who owns Cardiff City football club seems set to start Craig Bellamy on managerial road with Under-18s role.

The Welsh man played for Cardiff 91 times and helped them into the Premier League in 2013 with 6 goals in 55 appearances, the first time they had been in the top-flight for half a century. By scoring for Cardiff, the ex-Liverpool man became the first player in Premier League history to score a goal for seven different teams.

Craig Bellamy has been offered the opportunity to try his capability in management at Cardiff City with their U18 side. The former Wales captain retired in 2014 after 91 appearances over two different seasons at hometown team Cardiff, including helping them to promotion into the Premier League — their first spell in the top flight since the 1960s.

The 37-year-old former Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle front man has for sometimes declared that he turned down the chance to manage Cardiff’s first team when they were struggling in the top flight two years ago under his pal Malky Mackay, and he is now putting into consideration his option as he is about to plough into managerial career.
